Does anyone out there cheer for the UNH Wildcats football and hockey teams? And how about those YANKEES!!!! I'm also still trying to get the three quarters I mentioned in my last post. They're all Denver quarters...New Mexico, Alaska, Montana. The foliage has been quite pretty this year but has been lacking in the brilliant reds..I've been told it's because of the crazy weather we've been having.

I am back again asking about quarters. I have all the quarters from the Philadelphia Mint but I'm still trying to get all the ones from the Denver Mint. If anyone is interested in helping me please let me know and I'll give you the list of what ones I need. You will be reimbursed for any quarters you send me. This year it seems like all we do is shovel snow...what fun!!! The big willow tree is still lying uprooted across my yard so it's kind of hard to get down to the lake...if the temperature ever warms up I'll put on my snowshoes and go down another way. There's too much snow on the lake to skate and no one really wants to shovel out an area..too much shoveling on the driveway and deck.

It's been quite a while since I've been on--so, here goes. This is really about the quarters. I really want to get my book completed but getting the quarters from the Denver Mint don't come this way very often. I'm not including Alaska, Arizona or Hawaii because I don't know if they are out yet for either Mint. Here goes for Denver---Florida, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, Washington, Wyoming; and Wisconsin. The only one I don't have from Philadelphia is Oklahoma. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me. It has rained here almost all summer except for the week Michael and family were here. We had our annual BBQ last Saturday==we missed you Maggie. Zach and Jenny--you came to our first BBQ--when are you coming back again!!!

I guess Amy is the only one who visits my blog--so here goes Amy, Why can't I play my radio Stations when I want to go someplace else like to Text Twist.. I lose my radio station. I can keep ITunes on but I can't keep Pandora. Help!!!!

Tuesday, January 15, 2008

I need help!! I found out about Pandora so I went there. I set up a Barry Manilow station. I don't even really know what that means but I did it. The music on my station is really good--I know you guys won't like it but I do. The question is this--what do I do with my radio station? Do any of you do this. Maybe I could be disc jockey instead of a TV weather forecaster. Looking out my window now I see about 12 inches of snow on the deck. The sun is rising and the lake is beautiful. Time to take Molly for a walk.

A Nice Person

At 6:15 this morning when I was out walking with Molly I noticed something going across the road about the distance between telephone poles ahead of us. I figured it was a cat or a fox. The car approaching this thing slowed down and let it go by. The driver speeded up and went a little bit past us and slammed on his brakes. He backed up and told me that it was a porcupine and I should probably turn around. Good idea!!! It had gone down the Idlepines Road and shortly after I heard a dog barking loudly--hopefully it didn't tangle with the porky. I didn't even know the man who stopped but I'm sure glad he did. It's beautiful here today. Lucky us---Amy is cooking us supper!!!

This is Molly. She just came up from the water. She's not a swimmer-just likes to go in and get wet. We're hoping to teach her to jump off the dock next summer--that'll be the day.

Molly and best buddy, Kobe. Kobe has been swimming but he could stay in all day if he could.

Where's the defense???

Yesterday was a really good day in Durham!! UNH 52 Dartmouth 31. BUT...UNH didn't win that game with much help from their defense. Holes, holes, holes---even I could see them and that's pretty bad. However, the game was so much fun. We scored on the very first play of the game--then again about 3 minutes in because of an interception near Dartmouth's goal line. The first half was close but the second half was all UNH. The second team (or whatever they're called) went in early on and did a pretty good job. The quarterback scored his first touchdown ever for UNH--very exciting. Next week we have a tough one away against Richmond.. Summer has officially gone---our boat is out, all winterized and stored up top of the driveway--so sad. Snowshoe time is coming!! No pictures this time--I forgot how to do them.
